WHAT WE DO

In the new normal, you don’t need your old engagement survey. Learn why…

culture

Shifting Culture for Competitive Advantage

Your organization’s culture is either an asset or liability. It helps business performance…or hurts it. We help leaders make bad cultures good and good cultures great. Measurably. Sustainably.

knowfeeldo

Know / Feel / Do® Culture Metric

You can’t manage what you can’t measure. That’s why we help top teams develop a culture metric that’s a reliable leading indicator of actual business performance. This solves a big problem for those who know culture is important, but currently manage it sub-optimally as something abstract, HR-owned, and merely leader-supported. With reliable, fit-for-purpose culture metrics, you can elevate culture shifting as a leader-owned, strategically HR-supported initiative. That’s great for HR. Great for everybody.

fivefrequencies

Strong, Steady Signals on Five Frequencies®

Where does culture come from? Intentionally or not, through signals leaders broadcast on Five Frequencies.
  • Their decisions and actions
  • What they reward and recognize
  • What they tolerate (or don’t)
  • How they show up informally
  • And, last, formal communications
We help leaders broadcast stronger, steadier signals on all Five Frequencies—transforming their culture into a source of competitive advantage.

truth

Moments of Truth and Tradeoff®

When employees know what it means to “do the right thing” but productivity, fear, or other pressures tempt them to do something else, that’s a Moment of Truth. Our tailored Moments of Truth and Tradeoff exercise—effectively applied in nuclear power, airlines, health care, finance, law enforcement, and other fields—reliably strengthens culture while minimizing operational and reputational risks.

plusone

Plus One CX™

Everyone’s measuring CX with NPS…which is great. But the math and methodology make it hard to translate NPS into practical guidance for most employees. Our simple alternative—based on the science of “expectancy violations”—reduces the employee-facing equation to nothing but +1s, 0s, and -1s. In company after company, the intuitive simplicity of Plus One engages the hearts and minds of even the skeptical, enlisting all your employees more effectively in your efforts to lift NPS.

agile

Agile Culture

Adopting agile ways of working? Too bad they won’t boot up on your old culture’s operating system. We’ve got the data and know the mindset and culture needed to sustain agility. With speed and scale, we can help you shift from the culture you have to the agile culture you need.

OUR TEAM

Our four principals have over 75 years of combined experience evolving leaders and culture for competitive advantage.

Jeff Grimshaw has worked with senior leaders for nearly 30 years. Along the way he’s helped hundreds of executives, across six continents, to align people, strategy, and culture in support of important business outcomes. Jeff is the co-author of two books - Leadership Without Excuses and Five Frequencies - and many journal articles. In his writing, he frequently advocates for “long-term greedy,” a provocative way of saying that in business and in life, things tend to turn out better when we calculate ROI based on longer-than-typical time horizons. Jennifer Landis leads MGStrategy’s research practice. She helps organizations and leaders measure the impact of their alignment and culture-shaping efforts so they can double-down on what’s working and recalibrate on what isn’t. Working with Jennifer assures a painless measurement process and a product that delivers actionable and compelling data. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys attending her children's music performances, directs her church choir, and volunteers with programs that benefit kids in her community. Contact Jennifer at .

Tanya Mann helps leaders deliver business results. With her support, her clients have built high-performing teams and cultures of accountability, confronted risks and brutal facts, built collaborative partnerships, and led sustainable change. She has built a reputation as an engaging but fiercely outcomes-driven partner. Tanya earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Texas, where she taught and did research. She is the coauthor of Five Frequencies, and has published in academic journals and contributed chapters to graduate textbooks on organizational alignment. Contact Tanya at .

Lynne Viscio architects culture-shaping strategy for leaders and top teams. She brings her 25+ years of business experience as she works with clients from problem identification to customized design through to successful implementation, making sure they are equipped for long-term, sustained results.
